Avison’s Dockrill Will Become COO, Global Ops

Avison Young principal Martin Dockrill will become COO, global operations of the firm effective July 1. In 24 years with the firm, which is based in Toronto and established Chicago as its first U.S. office in 2009, Dockrill has served in both managerial and transactional roles.

Dockrill most recently served as managing director of the company’s Ontario, Canada region. On the transactional side, he brokered more than 10 million square feet of industrial and office space and sold more than $1 billion worth of investment properties.

In his new role, Dockrill will oversee company operations and the work of the executive management team in business service departments, including legal, marketing, research, human resources and IT. He’ll also lead and manage the day-to-day service aspects of the organization.

“Our leadership team could not be more thrilled to welcome Martin to this new role,” said Mark E. Rose, Avison Young’s CEO.
