Average Monthly Apartment Rent Highest Since 2015 (Infographic)
The average monthly rent for the Houston-The Woodlands-Sugar Land Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA) in October 2017 was $1,105. This figure was $19 higher than what was reported in September 2017, $30 higher than the year before, and the highest rent since October 2015, according to data from RealPage’s Axiometrics.
The occupancy rate was 93.7%, the highest since November 2015, though lower than the national average of 94.7%. Effective rent growth stood at 2.8%, the same as in September. However, some submarkets reported higher rent growth, as indicated in the infographic below.
