As Preschoolers Grow, So Does Education
The childcare franchising industry brings in an average of $2.6 billion in annual revenue. Georgia-based Primrose Schools, an organization of accredited early education and care schools that serve preschoolers, is taking advantage of the fact that child education and development is in the growth stage of the industry lifecycle. The company plans to expand in markets including Boston, Chicago, New Jersey, Washington, D.C., Philadelphia and California in 2017. The company currently operates in 27 states.
“Today’s parents are looking for more than someone to watch their children while they’re at work,” Primrose Schools’ Bill Pierquet told Connect Media, in response to a question about the industry’s growth. He went on to say parents are looking for quality early education programs to help prepare their children for success. “Unfortunately, they are finding that there are not a lot of options in the market,” he added.
