AP Launches $53M Addition for Midlothian High School

Adolfson & Peterson Construction (AP) recently began renovations and construction of an addition for Midlothian Independent School District’s (MISD) Heritage High School.

The $53-million project for this Dallas metro community includes a 185,000-square-foot addition to Heritage High School, adding a second-level classroom wing, two gymnasiums, a fine arts complex, cafeteria expansion and four new athletics facilities.

AP will also construct a new entrance pavilion along with parking lot expansions and a new football field. Furthermore, the project will include renovations to the existing high school and gymnasium spaces.

Midlothian Independent School District board of trustees, district superintendent Dr. Lane Ledbetter and Heritage High School principal Krista Tipton were on hand for the start of construction.

Completion of the project is scheduled for Summer 2022. In addition, VLK Architects will serve as planning architect for the project.
