Amazon Signs Lease at Nashville Yards Development

E-commerce giant Amazon signed a 20-year lease at the $1-billion Nashville Yards, a 15-acre mixed-use development in downtown Nashville. The lease at the 20-story, 566,000-square-foot building gives Amazon enough space for about 5,000 employees immediately, as well as an option to expand later.

The project will span from the north side of Church Street, where Amazon will be located, to Broadway, where a 23-story Grand Hyatt hotel is currently under construction. LA-based Anschutz Entertainment Group and MGM Resorts are constructing an entertainment district in the middle of the property, which was formerly the home of LifeWay Christian Resources.

Amazon signed the lease with San Diego-based Southwest Value Partners, the developer of Nashville Yards.
