Amazon Plans 800,000-SF Kansas Center

Amazon is continuing its expansion goals, with plans to open a new, state-of-the-art fulfillment center at Logistics Park Kansas City. The 800,000-square-foot facility will be located in Edgerton, KS, and will create approximately 1,000 full-time jobs.

The new fulfillment center will be approximately 40 miles southwest of Kansas City, and will handle the packing and shipping of large items, such as big-screen televisions, sports equipment and kayaks to customers.

“We’re excited to bring 1,000 great full-time jobs with benefits to the Kansas City region, and proud to further invest in the state with this new fulfillment center,” said Akash Chauhan, Amazon’s vice president of North American operations. Amazon also has fulfillment operations in Lenexa, KS.
