Akara Commences Development of 20-Story Nashville MF
Chicago-based Akara Partners broke ground on Kenect Nashville, a 20-story building planned for 420 apartment units and roughly 20,000 square feet of ground floor retail space in Nashville’s Midtown neighborhood. The site at 1815 Division St. is located where Music Row meets Midtown, two blocks from Vanderbilt University.
Akara’s Rajen Shastri says, “Nashville is a great story in job and population growth. There continues to be strong demand for apartments, especially in Midtown, a live-work-play neighborhood that appeals to growing companies and millennial renters.”
The residential plan calls for 246 studio apartments, 134 one-bedroom units, and 40 three-bedroom units. The first apartments are scheduled for completion in the fall of 2019.
