A New Name & Concept for McKinney’s MXU Development
The Gateway property at the Sam Rayburn Tollway and U.S. 75 in McKinney, TX has a new name and concept. The McKinney Economic Development Corp., along with developers KDC, ATR/Corinth and Columbus Realty, rebranded the project as Southgate McKinney. The mixed-use development on 90 acres is set to hold office space, retail space, multifamily residential and outdoor space.
The next step is for the developers to use the plans for the project in this far north Dallas suburb to recruit tenants. The mixed-use development will join the Collin County Higher Education Center and Sheraton Hotel and Conference Center, which are already on the site.
“The new Southgate McKinney name and logo provides this development with a new image as the south entrance into our community,” said MEDC President Darrell Auterson.
