91 Red River Headed for Rainey Street Historic District
Endeavor Real Estate Group LLC confirmed plans for 91 Red River, a mixed-use development to be situated on Austin’s east side. The 30-story project, currently in proposal stage, calls for 347 apartment units, as well as office and retail space in the Rainey Street Historic District on downtown Austin’s east side.
Endeavor acquired the three-quarter acre site on Red River Street between Davis and Driskell Streets in two parts over the past 10 years. The development team wants additional entitlements to raise the floor-to-area ratio under Austin’s downtown density bonus program.
Once the project is approved by the Austin Design Commission, the city’s Planning & Zoning Department can approve or deny the density bonus request. Endeavor indicated it hopes to break ground in late 2018 or early 2019. Ziegler Cooper Architects is the designer, and Rogers-O’Brien Construction Co. Ltd. is the general contractor.
