80-Room Tru by Hilton Hotel Approved

Hotel developer Raj Patel of Premier Hospitality Management Inc. received the okay to build a four-story, 80-room Tru by Hilton Hotel at 3037 N. Eastman Rd. in Longview, TX. The developer has been working on the 40,800-square-foot project for two years, and indicated he would be ready to break ground by the end of 2017. The hotel, which is going north at a $3.5-million cost, should be open in late 2018, he added.

Tru by Hilton offers smaller rooms, as well as semi-private alcoves for desk space in the lobby. Other amenities include a 24/7 market that serves gourmet snacks and drinks, and a fitness center. Patel told the Longview News-Journal that he selected the flag because it is a new concept that appeals to business travelers.
