Discount Tire is planning to build a more than 700,000-square-foot warehouse on 53 acres in South Dallas. The Arizona-headquartered retailer will begin construction soon on the project, which will be on Bonnie View Road, south of Interstate 20. The larger warehouse will replace a smaller, existing facility in Grand Prairie, TX. The new facility is expected to open in Q4 2018.

Discount Tire has a regional office in Plano, and operates more than 925 stores in 31 states. The retailer has more than a dozen stores in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.

Other companies with warehouse and distribution facilities in the I-20 corridor in southern Dallas County include Quaker Oats Foods, Amazon, BMW and Hyundai.
