357-Unit Union West Ready for Construction
Construction will begin this month on Union West, a 357-unit apartment property at 935 W. Washington St. in the West Loop/Fulton Square area.
Orlando, FL-based ZOM Living is developing the project, which will comprise two towers atop a three-story podium. The podium will house residential lobbies, 255 parking spaces and 12,636 square feet of ground floor retail.
This will mark ZOM’s entrance into the Chicago market.
“The West Loop has the highest influx of high-wage jobs in the Chicago metropolitan area,” said Andrew Cretal, ZOM Living’s development executive for the property. “As our first project in Chicago, ZOM is excited to be part of this highly desirable market and Union West is well positioned to benefit from the market dynamics.”
Lease-up will begin in the second quarter of 2019, with the first units delivered in the fourth quarter of 2019. Apartments range from studios to penthouse floor plans.
