2M-SF Ross Distribution Center on Tap in Brookshire, TX

Ross Stores Inc. launched site preparation work on an approximately two million-square-foot distribution center in Waller County, TX. The facility is being built off Woods Roads in Brookshire, TX, west of the Houston suburb of Katy, TX. The center is expected to be operational in 2021.

According to Waller County officials, the distribution center should bring approximately 1,300 jobs to the region, as well as the development and improvement in the area’s infrastructure. For example, more improvements will be made to Woods Road, to aid with truck traffic.

The deal, which was in the works for more than one year, was negotiated between Ross Stores, Waller County and the Waller Country Roads Improvement District.
