28-Acre Rancho Cucamonga MXU Approved
Day Creek Square a 28.4-acre mixed-use development in Rancho Cucamonga, CA, received unanimous city approval to proceed. The project includes 380 units of residential, a 71-room luxury hotel, as well as two restaurant buildings totaling 12,000 square feet.
Arlington, TX-based D.R. Horton is developing the project on one of the last parcels within walking distance of the nearby Victoria Gardens. The city approved a zone change from office and commercial use to mixed-use for the vacant lot. A construction timeline has not been set for Day Creek Square.
The company expects the residential housing units to be priced near the higher-level market, ranging from $400,000 to $600,000. Residential units will be Craftsman-inspired, and designed in four different villages.
The three-story, boutique hotel will target Millennials. A public plaza, central fountain and botanical garden are also planned.
