227 Units Up for Grabs — Through Lottery
Renters are submitting applications for a lottery to win one of 227 affordable apartments at Park House, located at 4275 Park Ave. in the Bathgate/East Tremont neighborhood of the Bronx.
“This new development represents an opportunity for 227 low-income individuals and families to secure a quality, affordable home in a vibrant community,” said Maria Torres-Springer, commissioner of the New York City Department of Housing Preservation and Development.
Typically, City officials receive many times more applications than there are apartments. The rents range from as low as $494 a month for a studio apartment, to $1,181 a month for a three-bedroom unit. The building is the first affordable community for families created by developer Breaking Ground, based in New York. The development includes nine studio apartments, 93 one-bedroom apartments, 100 two-bedroom, and 25 three-bedroom apartments.
