1M-SF EDS Office Campus Up for Sale
The former office campus for Electronic Data Systems (EDS) has hit the sales block, with CBRE marketing the 1.6-million-square-foot property located in Plano, TX. The property could be sold for close to $125 million, according to information from Real Estate Alert.
The current owner is DXC Technology, which came about from the merger of Hewlett Packard Enterprise and Computer Sciences. DXC is the only occupant in the space at 5400 Legacy Dr., and uses less than 40% of the space. The office space is situated on 97 acres, of which only 30% has been developed, and current zoning allows for mixed uses.
EDS, founded by H. Ross Perot, opened its campus in 1992. He relocated the company from North Dallas to Plano. Hewlett Packard acquired EDS in May 2008 for $13.9 billion.
