$95M Contract Awarded for New NASA Lab

W.M. Jordan Co. was awarded a $95.6-million contract to build a 175,000-square-foot Measurement Systems Laboratory at NASA Langley Research Center in Hampton, VA. The project is scheduled for completion in late 2019, and the contract is the largest rewarded for NASA Langley in recent history.

The Measurement Systems Laboratory will be the largest of the new facilities built so far, as part of Langley’s 20-year revitalization plan. The Langley revitalization plan calls for aging structures to be replaced with newer, energy-efficient facilities. The area center is on Langley Boulevard.

The goal of the building will be to provide a facility for research and development of new measurement concepts, technologies and systems to help the agency achieve its mission in space exploration, science and aeronautics.
