$8M for Auburn, NY Industrial

Tessy Plastics paid $8 million to buy a 30-acre industrial facility in Auburn, NY, in central New York State.

Built in 1992 and expanded in 1998 in the Auburn Tech Park, the 435,000-square-foot complex features a wide-open floorplate with ceilings more than 35 feet high and columns more than 50 feet apart. There’s also 35,000 square feet of office space.

Tessy is a manufacturer of plastic components for medical devices and consumer products.  The company plans to use the facility as a warehouse initially, with the intention of setting up manufacturing at some point in the future, according to Jim Panczykowski, executive vice president in Binswanger’s New Haven office.  Panczykowski handled the transaction for seller AAF-McQuay Real Property, Inc., a subsidiary of Daikin Applied.
