$170M Expansion, Renovation Planned at Pala Casino
A $170-million expansion and renovation of Pala Casino Spa & Resort is planned for the AAA Four Diamond award winning property in Pala, CA, located roughly 10 miles south of Temecula. Construction of the project is slated to begin in October 2017 and be completed in May 2019.
The work includes adding a new 349-room hotel tower, converting an existing resort pool into a multi-pool and entertainment resort complex, and building unique hotel suites overlooking the Starlight Theater event lawn and the new pool and entertainment complex. The gaming and casino bar space will be expanded, as will the parking garage. Plans also include remodeling the restaurant promenade, and refreshing the casino interior and existing hotel tower.
The expansion will bring the total number of hotel rooms to 854, and increase Pala’s casino from its current 90,000 square feet of gaming space to more than 102,000 square feet.
