Women in Real Estate 2020: CBRE’s Sarah Gibbons-Scheets Runs the Gamut in Workplace Advisory
Sarah Gibbons-Scheets is a director in CBRE’s New York office, and is a valued partner to CBRE’s clients and internal professionals as they make critical decisions regarding their office space in an ever-evolving “new normal.” She leads solutioning for CBRE’s integrated project advisory services in the Northeast, which span workplace strategy, change management, design, and occupancy strategy. Her workplace project work and advisory efforts run the gamut from single-location urban tenant to advising Fortune 500 companies on impacts to their global portfolios.
These are just a couple of the reasons we chose Gibbons-Scheets as one of the 2020 Women in Real Estate Award winners. Connect Media’s Women in Real Estate Awards honor the achievements and inspirational stories of women who have reached respected positions of leadership and play key mentorship roles for others.
As for many in the commercial real estate industry, 2020 has been a year of constant evolution of strategy, thought, and service delivery for Gibbons-Scheets. Shortly after stay-at-home orders were enacted and offices emptied in March, she played a key role in driving rapid initiatives that enabled CBRE to assist its clients with remaining productive amid extended remote working, preparing workplaces for the interim return to the office, and navigating the myriad of variables that will impact the future workplace experience.
This included co-authoring an article on balancing family dynamics while working from home and leading “virtual village” discussions on the topic via CBRE’s Women’s Network boards in Tri-State and Washington, DC.
