HWE Arranges $51M Sale of Capitol Hill Hotel in D.C.

Boutique real estate capital markets advisor Hodges Ward Elliott has arranged the $51 million sale of the Capitol Hill Hotel, a 153-room independent hotel adjacent to Capitol Hill.

Located at 200 C Street SE, the pet-friendly hotel features an onsite ATM, 24-hour lobby market and valet parking as well as self-service laundry. The sale was part of a two-property hotel portfolio, which also included the 112-room Holiday Inn Express & Suites Boston in Cambridge.

Cyrus Vazifdar, Jay Morrow, Michael Tormey and Alex Yiankes of Hodges Ward Elliot represented the seller, Hersha Hospitality Trust, in the transaction. Hersha Hospitality Trust had acquired the Capitol Hill Hotel in 2011 for $47.5 million. The buyer was not disclosed.
