Cordish Cos. Proposes $600M Casino Resort in Richmond

PPE Casino Resorts Richmond LLC, an affiliate of The Cordish Cos., has proposed a $600 million destination casino resort in Richmond’s Scotts Addition area.

The proposed casino would include a 250,000-square-foot casino, a luxury hotel with approximately 300  guest rooms and 30 suites, an upscale spa and fitness facility as well as a 4,000-capacity live entertainment venue and 40,000 square feet of multi-use event space. The project would also include 18 restaurants, bars and entertainment venues. Cordish has been behind a number of successful casino entertainment resorts in the U.S., including Live! Casino & Hotel Maryland, Live! Casino & Hotel Philadelphia, Live! Casino Pittsburgh, Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood, FL and the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tampa, FL.

Live! Casino & Hotel Richmond is expected to generate $5.3 billion of total economic impact for the City of Richmond over the first 10 years and create more than 5,000 new direct and indirect jobs during construction and more than 3,000 new permanent jobs.
