Parkside at Mueller to Be a Lock-and-Leave Lifestyle Draw

The Mueller community is the realization of a public-private partnership between Austin and Catellus Development Corporation to redevelop the land formerly occupied by the Robert Mueller Municipal Airport which served Austin from 1930 to 1999. Today, Mueller has a variety of local dining, retail and entertainment options.

And, one condo project, Parkside at Mueller located at 1701 Simond Ave., stands to benefit from the redevelopment. The project is being developed by Austin-based Pearlstone Partners and New York-based ATCO Properties and Management.

Austin-based Prospect Real Estate has been named its exclusive listing agency.

“It will be a strong draw for young professionals, first-time homebuyers and empty nesters looking for a sustainable, vibrant, lock-and-leave lifestyle, and it aligns perfectly with the type of property we seek to represent,” said Emily Lee, Prospect Real Estate CEO.

The 1.8-acre Parkside site is just three miles from downtown Austin and two miles from the University of Texas at Austin. The development will offer for sale 200 one-, two- and three-bedroom residential condominiums ranging from 600 to 1,600 square feet. Some 15 percent or 30 residences will be reserved for families earning up to 80 percent of Austin’s median family income.

The project is set to break ground during the second quarter of 2021, with construction anticipated to be complete by mid-2023.
