Johnnie-O Brings First Standalone Store to Fort Worth
Through redevelopment and forward-thinking leasing efforts, the first standalone store for lifestyle men’s brand johnnie-O is coming to Fort Worth’s University District. The new store, along with the recent opening of Market by Macy’s and Zaap Kitchen, and the future location of Mamaka Bowls, brings WestBend’s number of tenants to 17.
“Even with the vast changes and pressure currently occurring in the retail industry, it is a good sign in leasing that we were able to attract the first standalone store of such a well-known brand to our WestBend property,” said Terry Montesi, CEO of Trademark Property Company. “The area’s demographics including proximity to TCU and the retail mix were a draw to johnnie-O. And we whole-heartedly embrace clicks-to-bricks.”
The 278,000-square-foot mixed-use development offers access to retail, restaurant and office space with current tenants such as Dry Bar, Warby Parker, Dear Hannah, Pressed Juicery, Woodhouse Day Spa, SusieCakes and Ascension Coffee.
Originally created as a wholesaler and online brand, this is johnnie-O first U.S brick-and-mortar store. Its men’s apparel merchandise is a combination of East Coast prep and West Coast casual.
