Common Desk Acquires Link Coworking, Expands in Austin

Common Desk, headquartered in Dallas, is expanding outside of the North Texas region and into the Austin area. Specifically, the shared-office firm acquired Link Coworking, which has two Austin offices and a third on the way.

Link Coworking, which opened in 2010, was one of the first co-working, shared office spaces in the Capitol City.

Common Desk’s Nick Clark said that the company had been interested in infiltrating Austin for a few years.  “Acquiring Link Coworking was a perfect way to establish an immediate presence, and continue the legacy of one of the great, original co-working brands of Austin,” he said.

Link Coworking operates out of 2700 W. Anderson Lane in Austin.
