Addison Launches RFP for TOD Development Opportunity
Cushman & Wakefield recently launched an RFP on behalf of the town of Addison to solicit proposals for a master developer for an estimated 13.03-acre high-density transit-oriented development opportunity within the Addison Circle urban district. The town is seeking to maximize the benefits of the Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) Silver Line/Cotton Belt Corridor by creating a mixed-use development adjacent to the future rail station in Addison, which could rival the development value of North Texas’ regional destinations. The future development’s location sits just south of Addison Circle.
Chris Harden, Maureen Kelly Cooper and Michael Thomas of Cushman & Wakefield’s Dallas office are leading marketing efforts, and also provide brokerage and advisory services on behalf of Addison.
“As the metroplex continues its growth trajectory, walkable places like Addison Circle that are centrally located will see a disproportionate share of that growth,” says Harden. “Users of every property type are being drawn to these walkable urban and suburban districts en masse. Addison continues to be a top magnet in DFW for corporate relocations and expansions due to its centralized location, access to transit, and its ability to attract and retain a highly educated and talented workforce.”
Addison is nearly equidistant from Dallas and Frisco with direct access to the Dallas North Tollway. It has its own executive airport.
