Yorktown Center Redevelopment Breaks Ground

Pacific Retail Capital Partners (PRCP), a retail operating group, and Synergy Construction, a Chicago-based privately held development and construction firm, have broken ground on their transformational redevelopment at Yorktown Center in Lombard, Illinois.

PRCP and Synergy are in the process of demolishing the former Carson’s anchor box, which will serve as the centerpiece of the dynamic, integrated lifestyle hub that they are developing on the 12-acre parcel.

The redeveloped site will feature a green space and community park known as “The Square,” which is surrounded by approximately 600 residential units and thousands of square feet of new exterior-facing shops and restaurants. The Square will connect the new development at Yorktown with the center itself, creating a link between retail and residential life.

“We are pleased to have broken ground at Yorktown, which will ultimately result in multiple multifamily buildings and The Square, and are deeply appreciative of the support The Village has provided us throughout this process,” said Jonathan Rood, Executive Vice President of Development at Pacific Retail Capital Partners.

Michael Brennan will receive Connect CRE’s Lifetime Achievement Award and will participate in the Keynote Interview with Kevin Brennan, also of Brennan Investment Group. Join us at Connect Industrial Midwest 2025 on the afternoon of Wednesday, March 5, at Joe’s Live in Rosemont, IL, for this exclusive presentation!
