Add Experience to Retail: Winston Fisher Shares Insights at YWMREA Luncheon
Retail spaces are now places to “combine immersive art with the entertainment experience,” according to Winston Fisher of Fisher Brothers, speaking at the Young Men’s/Women’s Real Estate Assocation luncheon, held at the University Club in New York City, Feb. 13, 2018.
Experiential retail settings can now be more like theme parks than storefronts. For example, Fisher Bros. retail property AREA15 will weave together immersive experiences, themed events, art installations, restaurants, bars, and nightlife when it opens in Las Vegas in 2019.
“Malls have greater value beyond the land,” said Fisher. These large spaces can become settings for experiences.
