Locus Robotics, a provider of AI-powered warehouse automation, recently held the grand opening of its global headquarters, Locus Park, in Wilmington, MA. The 157,000-square-foot building at 100 Fordham Rd., design-built for Locus by landlord Carlyle Capital, can accommodate up to 400 employees. Currently it houses about 200.

The manufacturer, which supplies its robots to fulfillment warehouses, also marked a milestone by surpassing four billion “picks” of orders facilitated by the robots. “As we settle into this world-class facility, we’re energized by our unprecedented growth, consistently surpassing our own productivity records,” said Locus CEO Robert Faulk. “Our exponential growth reflects not just our success but the rapidly evolving needs of the global supply chain industry. With every pick, we’re not just moving products but the entire industry forward.”

Faulk told the Boston Business Journal that expanding the facility is an option. “There were a lot of just straight warehouses out there, but we needed office space as well,” he said. “We had to build for the future, and this building allows us to do that.”
