Ranked: America’s Most Expensive Real Estate

National  + Weekender  |

Neighborhood X’s recently-released report outlines the most expensive real estate per-square-foot across America. The data was compiled using the asking prices of current properties on the market.

The war between San Francisco and New York has been fought, and the Big Apple clinched the title for most expensive real estate, with some properties topping $10,000 PSF. When compared to other cities on a per-square-foot basis, New York can sometimes be more than double the price of other cities.

Here are the average prices per-square-foot for the top 5 most expensive cities:

  1. New York: $1,1773
  2. San Francisco: $902
  3. Boston: $586
  4. Washington D.C.: $515
  5. Miami Beach: $504
