Petroleum Institute First Tenant at DC Eco-Office Development
American Petroleum Institute (API) is pre-leasing roughly 75,000 square feet at Capitol Crossing in Washington, DC. API will be the building’s first office tenant, and plans to occupy space on two floors at the 12-story 200 Massachusetts Avenue, NW address, with an expected move-in date of late 2018.
Capitol Crossing is designed to achieve “beyond LEED platinum” certification. It includes water cisterns, cogeneration power, as well as rooftop green areas and shade.
The first two buildings at Capitol Crossing – 200 and 250 Massachusetts Avenue, NW – combine for nearly one million square feet of office and retail space. The project, when completed in 2022, will include a total of five buildings and 2.2 million total square feet of mixed-use space.
JLL’s Greg Lubar and Chris Bynum represented the tenant, while Cushman & Wakefield’s Art Santry, Laurie McMahon, Bruce Pascal and Ned Goodwin represented the landlord, Property Group Partners.
