Next Generation Honoree: Hanley’s Jeff Lefko Takes a Proactive Approach
VP Jeff Lefko has become one of the top retail investment sales brokers at Hanley Investment Group, and in the industry, by showing persistence and commitment to his clients through a proactive, service-oriented approach. Over the past 18 months, Lefko has closed or has in escrow 105 properties valued at over $510 million.
His most significant accomplishment has been developing meaningful relationships with clients across the country. Over half of the sales over the preceding 18 months have come from repeat clients.
Lefko was awarded Hanley’s “Honor Man” award for his immediate success and exceptional performance at the company.
These are just a few of the reasons we chose Lefko to be one of the National 2019 Next Generation Award winners. Connect Media’s third annual Next Generation Awards recognize young leaders in the commercial real estate industry who are likely to be influential for years to come.
Key to his success has been a keen ability to find opportunities and inefficiencies in the market. In 2018, Lefko sold the lowest cap rate car wash nationwide, thereby realizing an opportunity in the net-lease car wash industry that other brokers had missed. Car wash operators were leaving millions of dollars on the table by selling to big investment funds and REITS instead of private investors that would pay a premium. Lefko published an article about this inefficiency, which sparked a major movement in the car wash space.
