Medical City McKinney Expansion Underway
There is a lot going on at the 311-bed Medical City McKinney Hospital. It’s undergoing $190 million in projects planned and underway at its McKinney campus.
The hospital is adding two stories to its east tower and adding 46 more beds through more operating rooms. Construction on the project is expected to begin in August, and the added beds and operating rooms are slated to be operational by the end of 2026 at a cost of $117 million.
Construction of two stories above the existing Medical City Women’s Hospital in McKinney is underway. The project will add two C-section suites, six labor and delivery suites, and refresh existing suites in the Women’s Hospital. The $25 million project should be completed by early 2027.
A new 125,000-square-foot medical office building that will include spaces for additional physician practices, hospital space and Solis Mammography should be ready later this summer for $50 million.
The projects are part of Medical City Healthcare’s $1.5 billion capital investment initiative to implement capital improvements across the healthcare system over a five-year period.
