Massive Pickleball Social Club to Open in Lincoln Park
It seems the popularity of pickleball simply has no bounds. Capitalizing on the sensational sport is Social Pickleball Fun (SPF) which is opening Chicago’s largest indoor pickleball facility and entertainment complex in Lincoln Park.
SPF announced plans to build a 40,000-square-foot pickleball social club facility, including eight indoor courts, an indoor turf field, locker rooms, and saunas, as well as a coffee bar, reported Crain’s. The company also plans to open a full restaurant and bar in 2024.
SPF has established local partnerships with Honey Butter Fried Chicken, Kikwetu Coffee and Tom Carlin, former chef at Galit, to offer uniquely Chicago food options. The new facility will be located at 2121 N. Clybourn Avenue, adding to the growing list of pickleball destinations in Chicago, along with other locations like those announced by The Picklr.
“We can’t wait to open our doors to this incredible community and offer a new way for sports and recreation enthusiasts of all ages and skill levels to stay active, have fun and relax, all under one roof,” said SPF partner Richard Green.
