Lightstone Launches $500M Rescue Capital Platform 

Lightstone, a real estate firm, has launched a new rescue capital platform aimed at deploying $500 million across multifamily, industrial, and hospitality assets nationwide. This initiative will offer investments across various positions within the capital stack, including credit, preferred equity, and equity.  

Leveraging its private and fully discretionary capital, Lightstone aims to provide creative solutions to maximize value. Investment themes include addressing impaired equity or credit positions, funding future capital expenditures, recapitalizing stalled development projects, and facilitating cash-in refinances. Target investments range between $20 million and $100 million, emphasizing large portfolios. 

With over $9 billion in assets, Lightstone’s diversified portfolio spans residential, hospitality, commercial, and retail sectors across 26 states, including a significant development portfolio in New York, Los Angeles, and Miami.
