Corporate Retreats ‘Google-ized’

National  + Healthcare  |

Google Camp is anything but a typical sleep-away camp. You won’t find the conference guests going tubing or tackling ropes courses. Rather, it is a three-day gathering of the “.0001 percent,” as identified by The Financial Times.

Elite actors, designers, media moguls, models, pop stars and athletes convene in choice destinations, typically sunny and sandy locales, for an exclusive conference led by Google founders Sergey Brin and Larry Page. Google Camp is both work and play. Attendees engage in activities like touring local ruins, while also attending discussions and lectures.

So what’s on tap for Google Camp 2018? This year’s event will take place at the Verdura Resort in Sicily. According to tabloids and British newspapers, guests include Lady Gaga, Harry Styles, Matthew McConaughey, Bradley Cooper, and Leo DiCaprio. Rumor has it former Chicago Bulls star Michael Jordan will also be in attendance.
