A new restaurant will open this fall at Hudson Yards — and it sounds like a winner. The wine list will be created by a winner of the world’s best sommelier competition. The drinks program will be created by a winner of the “Best Bartender in America” competition.
Named after a recording studio once located there, Legacy Records will open at the base of Henry Hall, a luxury high-rise in Hudson Yards. It will be run by Delicious Hospitality, the same creative team behind popular downtown restaurants Charlie Bird and Pasquale Jones.
“The city is tilting west and south. Think about the opportunities for people who are now working there—and all the corporate entities packing the Javits Center. It’s a dramatically underserved area,” said Michael Fascitelli to Bloomberg Pursuits. Fascitelli is the head of development firm Imperial Companies, which is developing Henry Hall with partner Eric Birnbaum. Fascitelli is also the former president and chief executive officer of Vornado Realty Trust.
