Brookfield Secures Three Leases at MetroTech Center

Brookfield Properties finalized three major new and renewal leases at MetroTech Center in Downtown Brooklyn comprising 132,307 square feet of office space, along with an extended outdoor studio from SoulCycle.
 
HeartShare Human Service of New York signed a 19-year, 32,696-square-foot lease extension at 12 MetroTech, represented by CBRE’s Ken Myerson. Jesse Cooperman, Mark Kostic and Ross Hoddeson represented Brookfield in-house.
  
JLL signed an 11-year, 50,901-square-foot deal at 15 MetroTech, where it will manage Orchard Workspace, a flexible office and coworking space. JLL’s Ben Munn represented the tenant. Cooperman, Kostic and Hoddeson represented Brookfield. 
 
The IRS renewed its 48,710-square-foot lease at 2 MetroTech, represented by JLL’s Bill Korchak and Maureen Peyton. Brookfield was represented by Colliers International’s Charles Dilks and Matthew Johnston.

SoulCycle extended its outdoor studio outside 1 MetroTech through June. The fitness studio pivoted during COVID to provide an outdoor experience.
