Women in Real Estate 2020: Dalfen Industrial’s Shelly Drakes Shines as Effective and Professional Team Leader

Shelly Drakes is the Executive Vice President of Asset Management at Dalfen Industrial and is responsible for overseeing all property management and asset management initiatives, day-to-day operations of each property, lease negotiations, tenant satisfaction and vendor management.

Some of her accomplishments include implementing the VTS software system which helps track every property for leasing as well as implementing bi-weekly goals with her team and reviewing them to see if they have been met.

During the early stages of the COVID-19 pandemic, Drakes saw the need for a virtual tour of the vacant space and was able to show space virtually to potential tenants who would not otherwise have been able to see the space and lease it.

Drakes has been recognized as extremely professional in all of her dealings. Whether it’s a tenant, vendor, or fellow employee, Shelly works toward a win-win situation that satisfies both parties’ needs. She has also been recognized by her team as being available 24/7.

These are just a few of the reasons we chose Drakes as one of the 2020 Women in Real Estate Award winners. Connect Media’s Women in Real Estate Awards honor the achievements and inspirational stories of women who have reached respected positions of leadership and play key mentorship roles for others.
