Women in Real Estate 2020: Franklin Street’s Laura Gonzales is Leader/Mentor

Laura Gonzales serves as a Director for Franklin Street’s Capital Advisors division in the Jacksonville office. In this role, she focuses on the origination and placement of debt and equity for all types of income-producing real estate investments.

Gonzales has worked in commercial lending/capital markets for over 20 years in the state of Florida. She has a diverse background with extensive experience in a wide range of commercial lending from non-profits to for-profit businesses and investment loans. Her industry expertise includes construction, bridge and stabilized commercial real estate lending.

Previously, Gonzales served as Vice President/Senior Relationship Manager at TD Bank. She also held senior executive positions with BBVA Compass and Bank of America.

Gonzales is currently the Chair of Sponsorship for ULI North Florida and a member of several other committees including Membership, Affordable Housing and Urban Plan. She is a past President for CREW Jacksonville and continues to serve on a variety of committees. Gonzales serves on the Board of Directors as the Treasurer of NAIOP and is also a volunteer mentor for ICSC, NAIOP and ULI.

Gonzales joined Franklin Street in 2019 and has been recognized by her peers as being a leader/mentor from day one. With her expertise in the banking sector, she has provided incredible mentorship to different levels of employees through Franklin Street’s different lines of business and offices. Leveraging her knowledge and relationship with local developers has allowed her to fill her pipeline with debt and equity transactions.

These are just a few of the reasons we chose Gonzales as one of the 2020 Women in Real Estate Award winners. Connect Media’s Women in Real Estate Awards honor the achievements and inspirational stories of women who have reached respected positions of leadership and play key mentorship roles for others.
