Women in Real Estate 2020: Colliers’ Kathy Foster Stays Ahead of Emerging Trends
Colliers International’s Kathy Foster competes by staying ahead of emerging trends in commercial real estate, whether that be sustainability efforts, the ways companies utilize space or healthy building endeavors. Currently, she serves a dual role for the firm in Phoenix that encompasses account management for the Americas and as a Senior Vice President in Arizona.
That has allowed Foster the chance to work with large companies considering highly complicated real estate strategies, as well as simultaneously serving small and often under-funded non-profits that desperately need professional assistance.
Examples of her efforts to deliver clients with leading-edge solutions include recognizing very early on the value of securing LEED certifications to attract major tenants to properties. In addition, she began introducing “Workplace Solutions” professionals to her client’s years before other brokers. Currently, she is on the leading edge of understanding “healthy building” standards that are being introduced in the industry.
During her more than 25 years in the commercial real estate business, Foster has completed transactions in excess of 10 million square feet in more than 100 markets throughout the U.S. and Canada. She has earned the elevated status as a professional who is capable of handling the most complex real estate challenge, but is also excited to assist the local, neighborhood charity in need.
These are just a few of the reasons we chose Foster as one of the 2020 Women in Real Estate Award winners in Phoenix. Connect Media’s Women in Real Estate Awards honor the achievements and inspirational stories of women who have reached respected positions of leadership and play key mentorship roles for others.
