Women in Real Estate 2020: CBRE’s Julie Whelan Guides the Industry at Uncertain Times
At a time of uncertainty CBRE’s Global Head of Occupier Thought Leadership, Julie Whelan, stands at the forefront of the industry to shine a light on what to expect and how to keep progressing.
Prior to COVID, Whelan wrote CBRE’s report “Real Estate 2030: The Age of Responsive Real Estate,” which predicted the “reimagining of the workplace” that would take place over the span of the next decade. It illustrated how employees would be mobile workers, allowing them to be as productive and engaged as possible while in different locations. Additionally, during COVID Whelan has played a lead role in CBRE’s client surveys, providing insight on employee experience and expectations while working remotely.
These are just a few of the reasons we chose Whelan as one of the 2020 Women in Real Estate Award winners. Connect Media’s Women in Real Estate Awards honor the achievements and inspirational stories of women who have reached respected positions of leadership and play key mentorship roles for others.
Her analyses, research, and insights on the mechanisms of the industry have been invaluable to CBRE’s clients as they consider their goals and strategies. She has over ten years of experience in the real estate market, specifically in analysis and consulting, and has written countless articles and papers, sharing her company’s outlook with clients and reputable media outlets such as Bloomberg, Axios, Vox, CNBC.com and others.
