Women in Real Estate 2019: Allen Matkins’ Nancy Lundeen Brings Four Decades of Experience to CRE Projects
Nancy Lundeen is a partner in Allen Matkins’ San Francisco office, a role she’s held for 21 years. She is one of the leading and most respected commercial real estate attorneys in California, frequently representing clients in connection with many of the state’s most iconic buildings and development projects. She brings four decades of experience as an attorney handling office, retail, industrial and multifamily real estate transactions, ranging from purchase and sale, finance, commercial leasing, and loan workouts.
Lundeen’s clients range from large institutional firms to small companies, and include purchasers and sellers, lenders and borrowers, and landlords and tenants. She represents such companies as Metropolitan Life Insurance Company, New York Life Insurance Company, John Hancock Life Insurance Company, Clinton Reilly Holdings, Denken Farms, The Empire Group, Kinokuniya Book Stores of America Co., Littler Mendelson, Meridian Pacific, Monahan-Parker, Trammell Crow, and Urban Land Development.
These are just a few of the reasons we chose Lundeen as one of the 2019 Women in Real Estate Award winners. Connect Media’s Women in Real Estate Awards honor the achievements and inspirational stories of women who have reached respected positions of leadership and play key mentorship roles for others.
Among the recent highlights of Lundeen’s work include representing a client in its acquisition and/or financing of five different shopping centers in California, Hawaii and Nevada, along with negotiated anchor leases for all of such shopping centers; representing a client in its acquisition and financing of a major office building in the San Francisco Financial District and handled all of the leasing in that building, which is now fully leased; and serving as the lead counsel for the lenders in connection with over $500 million of mortgage loans on various types of property located in California.
This year, the partner in the firm’s San Francisco office, also was elected a Fellow of the American College of Real Estate Lawyers. She is a past-president of both CREW San Francisco and Women in Real Estate (WIRE).
