Sheltair Flies into Rocky Mtn Airport, Begins 21-Acre Complex
Aviation services company Sheltair Aviation broke ground on a 21-acre fixed-base operations (FBO) complex at Rocky Mountain Metropolitan Airport in Broomfield, CO, in Jefferson County. The $20-million facility will have a new terminal, hangar and a 5,000-square-foot build-to-suit office component, as well as 10 acres for aircraft parking.
The development is the Fort Lauderdale, FL-based Sheltair’s first FB presence west of the Mississippi River.
The development is scheduled for completion in 2020, and will employ approximately 20 people. Tectonic Management is the design-builder, and Cumming’s Project One is overseeing project management and owner representation.
Rocky Mountain Metropolitan Airport is near State Highways 128 and 121.
