2020 Next Generation Honoree: Cobu’s Ben Pleat is Forward-Thinking Innovator

Ben Pleat is an innovator and business builder. While he was still in college, Pleat launched the idea of Cobu to solve the problem of isolation within the multifamily residential community.

His idea was to deliver a tech-enabled service to enhance resident stickiness, and reduce turnover for landlords, while increasing resident satisfaction and connection. During COVID-19, his idea has proven genius; his team has been launching this service faster and wider than before to alleviate many of the problems faced by the stay-at-home orders.

These are just a few of the reasons we chose Pleat to be one of the Boston region’s 2020 Next Generation Award Winners. Connect Media’s fourth annual Next Generation Awards recognize young leaders in the commercial real estate industry who are likely to be influential for years to come.
