2020 Next Generation Honoree: MB Real Estate’s Ashley Harrison Makes Seamless Transition to Brokerage

Ashley Harrison has been at MB Real Estate (MBRE) for two years, impressing colleagues by jumping into brokerage seamlessly. Harrison’s coworkers say her previous experience managing WHI Real Estate Partners’ portfolio, which included the fund’s treasury and cash management, combined with her communication skills with brokers and clients alike, make Harrison a well-rounded broker. Also, Harrison is currently the co-president of the Young Office Brokers Association, a responsibility that’s seen as a testament to her tireless networking.

Before coming to MBRE, Harrison had four years of experience in real estate private equity, where she developed a deep understanding of how building owners think, as well as business strategy and execution. In her current role, Harrison has proactively represented some of the most prominent spaces in the Chicago CBD, including Michigan Plaza and 30 W. Monroe.

These are just a few reasons we chose Harrison as one of the Chicago 2020 Next Generation Award winners. Connect Media’s fourth annual Next Generation Awards recognize young leaders in the commercial real estate industry who are likely to be influential for years to come.

Most recently, as industry concerns rose over the COVID-19 pandemic, Harrison took a leading role. Communicating with current and prospective clients, she provided portfolio-wide rent collections schedules and other data to help shape the firm’s messaging and ease worry among building owners as the pandemic progressed.
