Granite State Business Park Expands by 42 Acres

The city of Rochester, NH added an additional 47 acres to the 250-acre Granite State Business Park on Innovation Drive by Skyhaven Airport. The city spent $856,982 to buy three land parcels and re-zone them from agriculture to industrial. The land was added to the Granite State Business Park Tax Increment Finance District.

The first facilities were built on the site in the mid-1990s. An average of 11,500 square feet had been added each year between 1995-2010. The TIF was launched in 2011.

“The only way for us for us to attract more industry to the city is to expand the industrial park further,” Rochester’s economic development coordinator Karen Pollard told Sea Coast Online. “It’s 47 acres. Especially with the frontage of Route 108 and the ability to connect here on Innovation Drive gives us our next best opportunity to attract another high-tech advanced manufacturer.”
