Lawyers in Real Estate 2020: Cadwalader’s Holly Chamberlain
Holly Chamberlain is an accomplished and influential real estate finance transactional lawyer who leads by example both within her firm and the larger industry.
Chamberlain is a Charlotte-based partner in law firm Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft’s Real Estate Group and is both a keen negotiator and an insightful facilitator who can identify the best outcome for all parties involved without sacrificing the true needs of her client. Clients often comment on the exceptional service and deep bench of the Charlotte Real Estate Finance team, for which Holly has helped drive revenue growth exponentially over the past decade.
Chamberlain primarily represents lenders in the financing of a range of properties, including office, retail, hotel, multi-family, industrial and skilled nursing facilities through single asset as well as multi-state and multi-property transactions. Over the past 15 years, Chamberlain’s career has been focused on advising large financial institutions as lenders in mortgage and mezzanine loan originations typically valued in the hundreds of millions of dollars for high-profile commercial real estate properties in major urban centers, in addition to most parts of the country.
Beyond her own practice group, Chamberlain has been integral to many of the firm’s successful diversity and inclusion initiatives. She is the lead partner for the firm’s Women’s Leadership Initiative (WLI) in Charlotte, an affinity group that encourages mentoring, networking, recruiting, promotion, sponsorship and training for women attorneys. She also is an active mentor within the firm’s influential sponsorship program.
It’s for these reasons that we named Holly Chamberlain to our inaugural grouping of Lawyers in Real Estate. These are real estate attorneys who have distinguished themselves in both their practice and the larger community.
