Preferred Apartment Communities said it was exploring a sale of part or all of the company

Preferred Apartment Communities Snags Orlando Apartments for $62M

Preferred Apartment Communities has acquired The Blake, a 281-unit apartment property in Orlando’s Winter Springs submarket. The sales price was $62 million.

Located at 151 Michael Blake Blvd., the property is within the Winter Springs Town Center mixed-use community. The Blake features one-, two- and three-bedroom units ranging from 698 square feet to 1,374 square feet. Amenities include a resort-style swimming pool, outdoor fire pit, 24-hour fitness club, a clubroom with billiards and gaming as well as co-working spaces, a dog spa and immediate access to the 27-mile Cross Seminole Trail.

Matt Wilcox, Brett Moss, Cole Whitaker and Tyler Swidler of Berkadia represented the sellers, Catalyst Development Partners and HQ Capital, in the transaction.
