Stack Will Double Capacity at Elk Grove Data Center Campus

Denver-based Stack Infrastructure plans for a significant expansion of its Chicago-area data center campus at 1440 Touhy Ave. in Elk Grove Village, IL. The future development will be adjacent to Stack’s existing facility, which currently offers 13 megawatts of critical power and 221,000 square feet of space.

The new multi-story data center will offer at least 20MW of additional critical capacity with the possibility of additional growth, bringing the campus’ total capacity to at least 33MW.

“Chicago is one of a number of important and growing markets for our clients, and as a result, it is a key market for STACK,” said Stack CEO Brian Cox. “We’re committed to investing here so that we can continue to support our clients and stay ahead of their needs.”

Launched this past January, Stack is sponsored by IPI Partners, an investor in data centers and other technology and connectivity-related real assets.
